ThreeSixth

When we first entered the ThreeSixth website, the first thing we noticed was that they are on Instagram! Now we love pictures on Instagram and it's such a fantastic platform to share pictures of their beautiful clothes. The one which caught our eyes was this picture of a maxi dress that would be launched soon. We love the greenery in the background and the rustic feel of the filter.

Scrolling through their website is a breeze. The new arrivals tab shows the latest ThreeSixth collection while the What's Available tab lists down all the pretty clothes from past collections. To purchase, simply scroll down to the bottom, fill in the necessary information and hit submit! It's just that easy and fuss-free. ThreeSixth extends free normal postage if you join their mailing list and like their facebook page while registered postage is free if you spend more than $80.

Now, moving on to their pretty clothes. We love the prints on their clothes. Especially this little crop top in their latest collection. The prints are eye-catching and the crop top is just perfect with jeans or shorts for a casual day out.

ThreeSixth stocks nice form fitting dresses and skirts as well. Our favourite has to be this colour-block skirt. The striking red colour block and the slim cutting of this skirt make this an irresistible buy.

GoodiesMag is working with ThreeSixth to bring more goodies to our readers! Hope on over to our facebook page, like both our page and the ThreeSixth facebook page, like and share our post and you stand a chance to win $10 shopping credit with ThreeSixth!

So what are you waiting for? Spread the joy :)

Hollyhoque

When we first discovered Hollyhoque, it was still a modest online blogshop with a young pretty model who is also the founder and owner of Hollyhoque. Life is certainly unfair in many ways, for her to be blessed with such good looks and capability to bring Hollyhoque to its current status today. We also enjoy reading her own personal blog where she describes the food places she visit and her daily outfits!

Anyway Hollyhoque is an established online shop today with a strong fan base and a brick and mortar shop at Far East #01-31. The boutique is a recent addition and we love the decoration in the shop with the cute birdie decals and neat wooden racks. We love online shopping but nothing beats the feeling of trying on a dress before purchasing so we were excited to know that Hollyhoque has its own boutique!

There's another thing we like about Hollyhoque - the lookbook pictures! Every lookbook has a special theme, be it Parisian chic, vintage, grassy wilderness or minimalist. We really enjoy scrolling through their Boutique Lookbook because it's just so attractive! Here are a couple of shots we are especially fond of.

We love the lighting in this shot! Feels like dusk in the lush green wilderness. Great contrast and the dress fits the model wonderfully. We love the lace pattern on the bodice and the cut of the dress makes it appropriate for work and play.

Doesn't this shot make you long for a day in a nice wooden cottage away from the city, dressed in casual chic, reading a book and sipping some English tea? Feels so laid back and casual.

White ornate pillars and pastel colored clothes emit a feminine Parisian chic. The Plain Jane Buttons shirt looks so comfy! And we love the coral shade of the skorts too.

As for the clothes, we personally enjoy shopping with Hollyhoque for jackets and blazers because the cut is really good and form-fitting. This is our favourite jacket so far.

The Casual Slim Fit blazer comes in white, electric blue and fuchsia. But we are getting bored of the usual black and white blazers so we opted for the electric blue one as it matches well with jeans. The material is really good too. Comfy, not too thick but keeps you sufficiently warm.

Pearlavish

Long before we started doing reviews of online stores, we have been shopping with Pearlavish. Their website is fuss-free, simple and clean. Their beautiful clothes are arranged in a sequence of blog posts and launched in collections.

To place your order, simply leave a comment in the format provided and wait for your invoice to be emailed to you. After receiving your invoice, arrange for payment to be made and anticipate the arrival of your lovely purchase! You can choose your preferred mode of postage being either normal mail, registered mail or Smartpac. We usually pick registered mail as we would hate to have our dress lost in the mail somewhere.

The thing we love about their clothes is the bold prints and the loud colours. While browsing through their website recently, we spot some dresses and tops with really fantastic prints that will definitely catch everybody's eyes.

The Arts Festival Colour Splash Dress above is a stunner. We can totally imagine going for a dinner date in this dress without having the need to accessorize at all as the prints are so attractive.

The Ayden Floral Top is the perfect top to pair with any solid colour pencil skirt and you are ready for work. The bright colours and prints make you look lively and cheery at work. Throw on a blazer and you are good for the boardroom too.

Last but not least, the Baroque Bodycon Tank Dress. We love the cut in design of the dress around the collar bones as it exposes the shoulders slightly without going too far. Looking sexy without revealing too much, this dress looks good for a night out at a jazz bar over a couple of drinks.

We have been really pleased with their customer service as well. They are prompt in issuing invoices and verifying payment. Pearlavish mails out your items efficiently too so you get to receive your item really quickly. We have never had any issues with their clothes too! The measurements are accurate and colours are true to picture.

Classic Concept Store at Sim Lim

We explored Sim Lim Square the other day for a store that sells reasonably priced tablets with specs that rival the Ipad and Samsung Tab. After prowling through every level in the crowded mall, we came across Classic Concept Store on the 5th floor where we eventually made our purchase.

Service was good. Andrew explained the specs of the tablet clearly and told us the perks of purchasing the Yuandao N101 instead of the other tablets. He was also very accommodating with our requests to test out various aspects of the tablet. While we were at the store, we tested almost everything such as the video playing function, wifi connection, loading speed of websites, streaming videos online and of course, the hdmi connection.

The Yuandao N101 comes with a screen protector and a cover which fits pretty well. We like the brown PVC leather of the cover as well as it is sleek and stylish.

The Yuandao N101 box comes with a USB adapter as well as a charger. Andrew also included a Hdmi connector for us out of goodwill. So thoughtful!

The price quoted for the Yuandao N101 was $320 but we managed to bargain a little and got a slightly lower price. Definitely one of the best prices in Sim Lim Square though!

Agoda: your answer to booking hotel rooms online

Today we will be bringing to you not an online shop but an online portal through which you can book your hotel room! It's nearing the end of the year and we are certain many of you must be plagued by wanderlust by now. Who wouldn't enjoy a getaway from our hectic city life and explore the wonders of a foreign city? However, you should remember that a big part of how your trip turns out depends on the hotel you are living in.

Many people harbour the thought that they would be spending a major part of their day outside and it does not matter which hotel they live in during their trip. Wrong. A good hotel can make your trip so much better from the start with a swift check in and a good, clean and comfortable room to rest in each night when you return. Location is important too and if your hotel is near the metro or train station, you will save a lot on travelling expenses. Things would be even rosier if there is a convenience store nearby for you to grab any essentials like bottled water or some snacks when you are hungry.

Agoda is your answer to book the suitable hotel room quickly and conveniently. The website is easy to navigate and you can search for a specific hotel or browse through a range of hotels in a particular city. You can key in the dates you intend to travel to check the rates and availability of the hotel. The search results will list the different available rooms types with a short description of the room as well as the applicable rates. The rates are usually quite good and there is usually a significant discount extended as compared to booking through the hotel site itself.

Scroll down and you will see a list of the facilities available at the hotel you are browsing. We find this feature very useful as it is important to know whether there is air-conditioning, heating and of course, complimentary wifi.

The middle of the web page usually shows you a short description of the hotel and useful information like the check-in and check-out timing.

And of course, you would definitely want to read some reviews from others who have stayed in the hotel you are browsing before jumping in and making your choice. It is always good to make an informed choice. The reviews at the bottom save you the trouble having to toggle between Agoda and Tripadvisor so that you can read about everything that has been said about the hotel all in one page.

Another useful feature is that Agoda actually lists the hotels that you have browsed earlier so that any time you decide that the previous one you saw was better and you are ready to book, all you have to do is click on the link on the left. Saves you the trouble having to memorize all the hotels you have browsed and searching for it later!

Very useful website to book your hotel rooms! :) And now you know you have a good hotel to return to after a long day out exploring....

Asos online shopping

The white and black background of the ASOS website is simple and chic, drawing your attention to the main  pictures of the clothes and other products. It is easy to navigate around the website and the products are neatly arranged in tabs at the top left hand corner. Products are first arranged according to "female" and "male" and further divided into sub-categories of various other items.

The clothes themselves are not cheap, but with their sale, you might actually find something at a great discount. Coupled with free international shipping, ASOS is indeed very attractive. However free shipping only applies to flat rate shipping, and you have to pay more for express delivery. You can click the tab that says free delivery worldwide to have an idea how much express delivery cost for your region.

The good thing about the ASOS website is that it not only offers a shopping experience, it is a full-fledged portal that allows you to buy and sell vintage clothes as well as share your looks and outfits. The "Marketplace" tab is a platform on which you can buy and sell new, pre-owned or vintage clothes while the "Outfits and Looks" tab is like a Lookbook whereby people can share their looks and outfits. Pretty interactive if you ask us! Not only can you shop here, you can also post pictures of your outfits for everybody else to see!

We placed our order about a week and a half ago and it arrived yesterday. The packaging was a simple grey sealed plastic bag delivered into our mailbox. Our pair of Voi chinos was packaged in another plastic wrapping inside the grey bag with our order chit within.

We like the idea of free international shipping and it is really fun to shop online with ASOS when they are having a sale. Also, the fact that their website is like an entire package is really interesting too! A place to shop, buy, sell and share your outfits with everybody else. The best all rolled into one!

Sg bestbuy world for cosmetics part 2

So as we were saying in our previous post, we placed our order with sg bestbuy world on Saturday. They dropped us an sms in the afternoon on Saturday to inform us that our cosmetics would be delivered on Monday during our stipulated time frame. And true enough, our goodies reached us today!

We cannot describe how good it feels to have your purchase delivered right to your doorstep just after the weekend. So swift and efficient indeed. Don't you absolutely hate waiting around for your goodies to reach you, all the while wondering if it is somewhere lost in translation? Sg bestbuy world worked well around that and gets your purchase to you quick enough. They messaged us once more before delivery which was what we requested when we placed our order. Very personalized customer service.

Our goodies came in a colourful bestbuy world plastic bag with an order chit tagged neatly on the top.

Our goodies came exactly as featured and described on the website. No surprises there which is good! Our lipsticks and gloss came in the shades that we chose and the packaging looks exactly like it should. The shades displayed on the website are accurate as far as we could tell so it is probably a safe bet to use that as a gauge.

Sg bestbuy world has a point system so that you can accumulate points as you spend and exchange these points for discount when you next purchase something. A very tempting system to keep you hooked! Well, we are happy customers of sg bestbuy world so far and will definitely return.
